Hawaii Mortgage Licensing
Hawaii is one of the few states that is a brick and mortar state, meaning require the business to have an approved in-state location to receive your Mortgage Loan Originator Company License. The state also requires mortgage servicing activity to have its own license, separate from the lending and broker license. If your business is going to service its own loans, then you will need to complete the process for both licenses. Although the Mortgage Loan Originator Company License does not require a bond, a bond is required for the servicer license in the amount of $100,000.
