MS Mississippi
Mississippi offers two license types a Mortgage Broker License and Mortgage Lender License. The Broker license only covers broking activities but the Lender license covers brokering, lending and servicing activity. A named QI that holds the MS MLO license and must have at minimum 2 out of the last 4 years of experience is required.
Note on MS MLO licenses: If the Loan Originator is changing employers, the MS MLO license is not transferrable between employers. MS is the only state that requires a loan originator to re-apply for the MLO license when changing employers.
